140k on the body
bought her for 300 bucks off my uncle in early February and spent near 6 hours of constant digging through ice and snow to free her but i got it done.
so far i've added and Edelbrock performer 289 intake with an Edelbrock 600 cfm carb, Air shocks in the rear, and of course the old school cragars.
The second picture is right after i dug it out of the glacier and the first pic is what it currently looks like. :D

Wanna see some REAL Fords?

I am a Ford historian from the "day", and was very influenced by the Total Performance campaign of the '60's.

That is absolutely stunning Jim! I love everything about it including the color. Very nicely done sir! :thmbsp:

Way back in the olden days (1968?) I knew very nice couple that had one. They used to compete in autocross events with it. I remember the look on the wife's face as she nailed it and tried to keep her head attached to her shoulders as she crossed the finish line. It was an incredibly fast car but nowhere near as pretty as yours is!

Well, I don't have photos, but the Mercury I would most like to own right now is a '56 Mercury Montclair HT. I love the looks of the front of that car and the lines on it are fabulous. I would have to drop in a bigger mill, though. I also like the '67-'69 four door Thunderbirds and the '69 Cyclone GT.

1974 Ford LTD!!!

Here's my very own pride and joy, my 1974 Ford LTD.
This car is just incredible. I love it.
This is my daily driver, and I do have it registered. There's no license plate in the picture because this is when I first got it.

My father and I took on a project my junior year in high school. I don't have any before shots with me at the moment. But to make a long story short. After countless amounts of hours, of replacing pretty much everything. Last summer we got her done. We did all of the work ourself in our garage. Metalwork, bodywork, painting, reupholstering, ect. It was a learning experience for myself to say the least. The most thrilling part was the fact that I could say I restored a classic car by the time I was 20. I sank basically every penny I earned from my first job till the time we got it done. I never, ever, ever plan on getting rid of it and hope to re-restore it later on with my kids.

All the shots were taken around my hometown

Beautiful job and what a great memory to take with you working with your Dad. My son is 14 and I wish I had the ability to do this with him. I wish I would have paid more attention to my late Father when he wrenched on my cars, he tried to show me but man that wasn't cool. I now think it is very cool. Congrats on a very nice mustang.

Here's my newest Mustang, a 1996 Mystic Cobra, in it's natural environment, and also out playing with some other Fords (mostly) during my first race weekend at VIR back in '07. The red '65 2+2 coupe near the back of the 2nd pic was running the (modified) original motor and trans from my '83 Mustang GT - the only new car I've ever owned. I really need to get them back into the '83 so it can continue on it's 3rd trip around the odometer.

The red '65 Mustang drag car in the 3rd pic belongs to a young fellow in WV who I passed my old tow vehicle ('76 GMC) to. I guess that old truck was built to haul Mustangs to and from race tracks. He even liked most of the 8-track tapes I left in the glove box.

Here's my antique Ford

Besides collecting vintage audio equipment. My other hobby is collecting and restoring 60's and 70's muscle cars. This was my first project. Bought it as a junker in 1989 and restored it from the ground up. Took me 4 1/2 years to finish it working on it nights and weekends but I finally got there.

I have a couple of other GM cars in my collection but I won't post them in a thread about antique fords. :)
