Vintage Receiver or Amplifier Swap

Hello everyone,
Ive been wanting to replace my current Sony receiver with something a little more vintage and something that'll help the tunes sound better. My Sony receiver is just one of the ones that came with a surround sound package from best buy years ago. My current set up btw is a Technics SL D2 TT that runs through a cheap preamp to the receiver and I have a pair of Klipsch R-15M speakers and subwoofer that came with that same surround system. Ive been looking through ebay just to get an idea of what I may want. Ive noticed that I wasn't coming across any that had a subwoofer output. Is that common for older receivers? I was hoping to get something that I could still use a separate sub with. Unless anyone thinks I would be fine without a sub. I notice a lot of the older receivers have bass adjustment as to where my current sony does not. Any suggestions?

Home theater brought out the subwoofer output.

You can run a powered subwoofer thru the B output of the receiver.
