Vintage Stereo Music Centre I was willed, whats its worth?

Hi,

I have been widowed what i believe to be an early 1970s stereo music centre, but i dont know if this is an original set that would have been sold like this or that the different parts were bought at different times and/or from different stores at the time.

The following are as follows: Set of 2 Crown Model CSP-64 speakers, Crown Solid State AM/FM Stereo tuner (Model fm-20) & Crowncorder (model shc-22) solid state stereo cassette tape recorder. The further details can be seen in the photos.

The two questions I'd like answering are:

1. Is this a set that would be sold together? or to maximise the sale would I sell certain parts together and others separately or the whole set together?

2. What is the rough value of the set in the UK/Europe (estimated)?

I really do appreciate any responses and help I get.

Thank you.

1. Yes, it was almost definitely sold as a single package.
2. Not much, this is a fairly low quality system. While it's possible it might have some collector value, it's not really old enough or good enough for that. My guess is that it dates from the early to mid 1970s.

thank you, as I stated before, it was willed to me and though it is a shame to sell it, it would otherwise collect dust in my attic.

Thanks very much.

Looks like a better tax deduction as a charitable donation if you have no use or sentimental attachment to it.
