    I think Al Jackson dose not get enough credit as being a great drummer and one of the best time keepers. He did die pretty young as a result of a bizarre shooting incident apparently involving his wife.     Yeah, the cover is by Leo Meirersdorff. He did a lot of covers for Chiaroscuro...

    And the music on this McKenna/Sims LP is really nice. Good solid jazz. There was still a great jazz scene in NYC back in the 70's. This LP reminds me of that time. I was lucky to catch part of it during the latter part of the 70's. A NYC of Doubleday Bookstores, and Brew And Burger bar/restaurants. Disney and Starbucks hadn't invaded either...

    This 1st press is really nice, but I like The Royal Scam slightly better. Better piano IMO , Both really good :music:
