Want to use the 2275 main in.

Should I be able to plug my Mcintosh MX110s Pre Amp Main Out into my 2275s Main In and expect that to work? the Pre Out and Main In on the 2275 are suppose to be jumper-ed internally and just plugging in into the Main In should disconnect the Pre Out. Is my thinking correct?
