A copy of Return to Forever, 'Where Have I Known You Before'.
God, I forgot how good this album is. I haven't heard it in years.
This is the Di Meola I like; never liked him as much after he went off on his own. He's not such a speed freak(not literally, I mean as a guitarist) on the early RTF albums and more melodic IMO. Maybe it has something to do with playing with Chick.
I realize that this music is not everyone's cup of tea but, regardless, you can't deny the musicianship of all these guys, Lenny White on drums and Stanley Clarke on bass.
I saw RTF back in the 70's at the Jazz Workshop in Boston (pity, it's long gone) when Mike Connors was playing guitar... blew me away!
So if you have this album, put it on and by all means crank it up a little :guitar:, because that's the way it's meant to be heard. :yes:
