Weekly Estate and Garage sale finds (pics)

First time bidding in an online estate sale, came away with this PL-560 for $100. The feet need replacing and the dust cover has a few scratches, otherwise in excellent shape. The pitch meter is a cool little add on as well - excited to turn this into a daily driver.

There was a very clean SX-980 in the same auction that I hope went to a nice setup somewhere. Bose 901's as well.
shipped or picked-up?

Many thanks to Gazdatronik who identified these Karlsons, I did some research of John Karlson's fascinating design (link below). They are K15s.
I picked them up this morning- first in line, 1 hour early.
The veneer is a lush mahogany. Except for a planter stain of one of them: my next task, the veneer is near flawless.

They are large 33x23x18" and heavy due to the elaborate baffle viewable in pic 2.
Each cabinet houses an 15" range driver IDd as an Audax A-150, pic 3.
They sound GREAT and are keepers.

I think it's a switching clock extension electro-hazard.

Inside looks like this:

IMG_20170819_202021.jpg

I can't imagine what its purpose really is, but I was worried it would die alone. I brought it home for $2. At the very least I have a couple of switches and some rubber feet.

Anyone have any idea what the heck this is? My wife guessed a high school shop class project. I think she may be right. I'd love to know what the kid had in mind, if that's the case.

I suspect it is to turn Xmas lights (or any lights really) on and off at certain times of the day.

The switch may be a manual override and the knob a count down timer.

The jumpers on the back are kind of frightening.

Definitely looks like some type of heavy duty timer. I think the Christmas lights suggestion is a good one. Sometimes we have to think out-of-the-box the rubber feet purpose is a good one.I like that. Two dollars for those can be a lifesaver when you're needing a set, plus the clock face has that cool 50's vibe going on .

I'm not crazy about estate sales but I usually will go anyway. So I stop at one starting on Saturday. Everything really overpriced but then I see a set of JBL 4410 studio monitors, they need serious love . But they are all complete minus the woofer surrounds of course .I didn't get them because they wanted what a nice clean pair would go for . So I go back today the last day of the sale. Their still there and I got them for a third of what they were asking yesterday $111. Can't wait to refoam and listen to them.
