Been listening a lot lately as I put stuff up on auction. Some tapes difficult to part with though. This one brings back too many good memories...

Yeah, I'm looking at the Beethoven symphony set, along with a couple of others.

Thanks Lu. I'm just starting to go through storage boxes in prep for a move. I'm trying to focus on just Jazz so there is much Classic Rock and Classical to liquidate...probably 500 tapes or so. I'm a little surprised at what some of this stuff goes for nowadays, but they need to be enjoyed by someone, not just stored for years. Besides, everything is headed to the beach house and tapes don't store that well on the ocean. I gave a couple boxes to my kids already. It's interesting to see what they are into. Daughter (19) took things like ABBA and Sinatra. Son (22) took R&B and Soul stuff. Oldest son is into Dark Metal, of which I have none, but I did give him some blank tape!

the (great) "lost" Sergio Mendes album from 1971 (where, save for one song on it: he abandons Bossa Nova and goes all Laurel/Topanga Canyon:wtf::music:):[IMG]

A recording of Steely Dan "The Royal Scam" album playing now, but broadcasting to some new wireless speakers 2 rooms away using a BT 5.0 transmitter. Works/sounds OK, better than I thought it would actually.

Going through some more rock tapes this evening. I forgot how good this album was (production-wise).

    Greetings from RojoLand!

To exercise my Teac A-4010S deck (in process of being recapped), we had a "Tape Concert" Friday night. Three tapes — David Rose's "'The Stripper' And Other Fun Songs For The Family" (MGM STC 4062), "¡Bullring!" by the Banda Taurina (Audio Fidelity AFST 1835) and this one, which my wife said was her favorite of the three:

    Take care,
