What are you Listening To Right Now? - and more

I never had a problem with @C Land's lamps. Don't actually think it had anything to do with the splintering of the group. and the creation of the new thread. I could be wrong though. I usually am.
If her picture of her lamps caused it to happen than good, it needed to happen.
What lamps?I seriously doubt that had anything to do with anything

After careful consideration some final thoughts:
1.The complaints have been ongoing, some trivial and some warranted
2. I have suggested that individuals just avoid the thread if they find offensive content
3. It concerns me that members consider my post an attack on the thread, which was not my intent.
4. This is more than just a thread which is a good thing
5. Just because someone disagrees with the threads content is not justification for a us verses them stance, as this is a thread that should be open to all who care to join your thread (community)
6. Nothing has changed, other than my asking you folks to abide by the content rules that govern all threads on AK
7. I have added "and more" to the title of the thread. If there is a another preference let me know, if you follow the thread you may need to re-follow the new title
Enjoy the Thread (community), and maintain speed and heading my friends,
Jim
More than fair, Thank you

Hear, hear.
I have been having the same thoughts that @ehoove expressed and agree with your assessment of the situation. @OnTheBlitz, no one is talking about having no interaction. The point is how far afield of the subject we sometimes get. And try as I might, I can be just as guilty of this as anyone.
To everyone:
It is fine, the way we get into tangential discussions based on what someone has posted about gear/music/bands/tech, etc. And we do tend to share our opinions about such things, sometimes extensively. And we sometimes even get to ribbing each other about things because we ARE friends and feel comfortable with each other. And that's ok too.
I think we get off the track when we start posting things which has no real connection to the subject and is intended to tittilate our baser senses or takes us places the thread was never intended to go.
One of our long-time members who doesn't show up much anymore said that he could no longer justify being a part of this because if the pace and that he just could not keep up. Valid reason to a point, in my mind. And I, for one, miss his interaction.
My point: couldn't we keep a little more on track and leave the truly unrelated things unposted? I have, in the past, made my feelings known about certain things that started showing up. I haven't changed my mind.

I more or less tried to say it this way, Didn't do a very good job. I will follow this flight plan best I can, And use PM's more to deal with side subjects I feel like interacting with.

Hear, hear.

One more thing, I would like those people who walked to return..Not going to mention any handles..But they did contribute to the music. I personally enjoyed their input. Cool pics, The whole nine yards

Good morning all,

Lots of people have probably noticed I have not been posting as much. Much of that reason is a new female interest. However I spend far less time on this thread when I am online because I grew tired of sorting through the chit-chat. Nothing personal to pet lovers but I am not interested if your cat has fleas (just using this as a for instance). An effort to make things more music related would have me spending more time here.

Regards,
Dan
