This is a very good LP folks. If you don't like progressive music, do not be put off by Wilson's reputation or past LPs. This is nothing like them (at least of the ones I own). This is good rock. If you do like progressive there are some interesting moments in here.

underrated - before it all went to their heads

Yep. That was the last U2 album I liked.

Great band, overlooked and not appreciated enough.
:(

I still remember the first (and last!) time I heard Pere Ubu on the radio. Unique.

*Elizabeth Montgomery-- Like most young men in the free world, I was (and to an extent remain) in love. Both Darren's were lucky men.

It wasn't the Darrens who got her (though she did like the gay one) but her producer William Asher. Who did not treat her particularly well. She was a great beauty and a wonderful person by all accounts.

I don't listen to the Eagles much. They were the epitome of FM overplay. Today they are sounding good.

Never got tired of them myself. I have thought "New Kid in Town" was a masterpiece ever since I first heard it.

Sunday, early evening. A nice bottle of Chianti as I make Sunday gravy for dinner. On the RTR is a tape I made back on 12 April 1992:

James Taylor Greatest Hits
The Best of Steely Dan
The Best of Eric Clapton
The Best of 3 Dog Night
Eagles Greatest Hits
Steely Dan Gaucho
The Doors LA Woman

Dogs are fed and I have a nice buzz going!

Watched part one of the new Ken Burns documentary, The Vietnam War tonight. Pretty epic stuff. I had no idea what a convoluted mess Vietnam was long before the U.S. ever got involved in it.
Nine more parts to go. Looking forward to the education. Will be buying the soundtrack recording here soon. It's a boatload of music I ain't got...got some of it, but not much....before my time.
