jason moran- all rise: a joyful elegy for fats Waller
As klitschy a classic as it is,
It ha to be dug up an played just for the one song, which at 10 minutes, is the only album to hear it on.
Very fun album! I was listening to it on cassette recently haha. They made very unique music. In retrospect, it’s hard to classify most of their music into a genre. It was popular music at the time, but due to the diverse influences and style, it’s hard to call it “pop”. I have heard new wave, and reggae rock used to describe it. I don’t think those really fit either. Just very unique

Blows against the Empire. Genuine Hippie music Grace Slick fix.
If even only for Have You Seen the Stars Tonight
its am again. Prayers for all. Coffee and a little jazz.
Think the same thing about the Police. It has made me at times think we need a forum labeled "What are You Listening To that has No Genre"
Bought mine for the same reason
I’ve settled on Blue-eyed Reggae. My OCD streak won’t abide a No Gender section on the shelf.
