I am not a cover fanatic but this one was borderline. Record in great shape and priced at .50 cents i said why not.

    ^^^^Great record.

Morning Commute: The Como Mamas, "Move Upstairs"

Amazing, awesome, raw but well-arranged/produced, Gospel music with a heavy emphasis on a Soul/Blues base. Up there with the Blind Boys of Alabama. I am a huge Daptone fan, but I was sort of ambivalent about this when I heard about it (but hadn't heard it yet). I was aaaallll wrong-- this is amazing.

Now Playing: Various Artists, "Zaire 74: The African Artists"

Really great so far. This is from the 1974 concert and movie that occurred before the Ali fight in Zaire ("Rumble in the Jungle"). The recordings with the indigenous African artists have not been released, until now. Nice two-CD set with booklet; I believe it is available in vinyl format as well.

The whooshing sound y'all just heard was not your tenittus. It was the sound of this post going right over my head. Understood about ten percent.

GREAT recording... Joe Zawinul, Wayne Shorter and Jaco Pastorius are amazing on this iconic album.

Haha. These are slightly different types of toys, used for recording one's *own* music, i.e., small studio gear. But I already have them, so they're serving double-duty.

Nope DOM-- That one has Alex Acuna and Manolo Badrena on drums and percussion, respectively...

Were there any WR albums with Narada Michael Walden? I know of his solo work and his work replacing Cobham in Mahavishnu Orchestra...
