I've decided to throw caution to the wind, and tackle Yes as the subject of my next Musical Journey thread. They are a fascinating band, having been a stopping off point for 19 musicians over the last 40 years. I've been wondering how to keep track of what the band was at each point in their recording history, and figured it was going to be incredibly difficult, with a vast number of loose ends to tie up, with various members appearing in different bands, pursuing solo careers, helping out other bands and coming and going seemingly on whim.

Anyway, a while back, I bought a copy of Yes Years, which I'm currently playing. I discovered that the book that was supplied with the 4 CD set has a "family tree" setting out the various incarnations of the band from the late 60s to the early 90s, which will be very useful.
