I will be doing some film and TV music this weekend, along with other stuff. Jerry Goldsmith for starters. Alien End Title is not on this compilation. You must hear that also to survey Goldsmith properly. Kunzel/Cincinatti have a nice version on Time Warp.

Very cool, Doesn't Brian Setzer use that? Has that cool kind of jangle sound.

I've been visiting this recording regularly lately, perhaps a good recommendation for Fuzzywobbles..
A Van Gelder recording from 1959 that could pass for brand new.

If it's good enough for Dwight Yoakam then it's gotta be good. He has a bunch of those Epiphones in various configurations.

A few years ago I tried to win one, signed by Yoakam...they haven't notified me yet.

Setzer is a Gretsch 6120 guy
Along with 2 64' Fender Bassman Heads
Dual Showman or Baseman cabinets and the key element besides his touch and skill is the use of Roland Space Echo's as well as occasionally Maestro Echoplex's

What's your take on the recording, understanding of course that the YouTube version may have a different source than Prestiege L.P. 7167

Found it at a thrift years ago and it's the first time spinning it. Definitely a nice sounding London record. I enjoyed it quite a bit having never heard it before. However, as she hit the high notes I heard crackling in the right channel. I was surprised so the pressing may be worn too much or I'm hearing limitations in my system. I'll try it on #2 and hear if I get the same results.
