Much Prog awaits. The ELP just now was the first of it. I'm slow and methodical in this project. Everything gets a new poly sleeve, and if it already had a new one it get swapped around from side load to top load, and my sleeves are the tight fit variety from Bags Unlimited, and they are tight...and I like tight sleeves. Can't stand loose and sloppy.

Thanks. Hard to say if it's rare. Tape is less well documented than vinyl. The price was reasonable. I've been lucky with old tapes. Most are free of shedding, dropouts, print-thru, etc.

I saw a Pioneer I believe when 4 ch tried to take off. The rep was really pushing it. Someone is sealing the tape real well.

Chris de Burgh - Into The Light

Saw this guy live in Edmonton, and he was surprisingly good. Highlight of the concert was his cover of Toto's Africa, although he has plenty of great tunes of his own and a very pleasant voice too.

I can't have just one quad deck. Old stuff breaks. One won't do 3.75 ips, the other won't do 15. Ya gotta be able to dub quad-to-quad. I would have anxiety if I couldn't do all this stuff. Oh wait, I have anxiety anyway...but I hope it's the good kind. (Is that possible?)

I'd be remiss if I didn't shout out to Lou, aka @Dusty Ol'Man and the loss of his 17 year old dear friend.
I know and feel your pain well. Been there more times than I can count. This shelf contains the remains of a dozen of my pals who we've escorted over the threshold between life and death. There are many more who aren't on the shelf.
The shelf is for the special ones.
The light brown box on the upper shelf, far right is my rescue Chihuahua, Dexter. Had to put him down a year and a half ago. It was the worst day of my life.

I stay with them eye to eye as the injection goes in while my wife casts her eyes aside.
It's never easy, it's always hard, but take comfort in the knowledge that you've taken away their pain and put it upon your shoulders. Then carry on.
