Took me about 1.5 seconds, but I only just bought it this past year and I was already familiar with the better parts via This Is The Moody Blues.

If you ever get to hear Isaac Stern play this you will be utterly amazed. He, Itzak Perlman, and Pinchas Zuckerman were considered the top violinists in the world during the 70s. I don't know Igor Oistrakh, but David Oistrakh is very good also. Maybe a son?

Yes, it was indeed his son. I left that part out. Igor's performance was stunning. Honestly thought he was gonna burn the strings right off the violin at one point.

Believe I have two now, the other being Berlioz ~ Symphonie Fantastique
They are both excellent recordings and performances.

Actually, FOH, I traded it in for an ADCOM preamp and amp. I was looking for more wattage. Not my smartest day. However, in the end it turned out all right; I'm very happy with what I now have and presently I just spend money on the music.

Not a much better choice of music than what I see at my local BestBuy. Really sad.

Thanks P-man for showing us that seldom seen minor alcove in the annex to the second sub-basement of the main floor of the P-man LP archives. :)

Seriously, I need to do this as well.
It would help the wife and kids in dealing with all the stuff.
Seriously, she will be a mess if I die first.
Our boys will have to do all the estate details.
I really need to put it all in writing to ease their way through the estate clean up.

When I first saw Curling, I thought how great it was.
It is a form of chess on ice.
A lot of thinking ahead, on top of the precision of the curling.
A thinking mans game, that is for me!
