What are you Listening To Right Now? - and more

I'd be remiss if I didn't shout out to Lou, aka @Dusty Ol'Man and the loss of his 17 year old dear friend.
I know and feel your pain well. Been there more times than I can count. This shelf contains the remains of a dozen of my pals who we've escorted over the threshold between life and death. There are many more who aren't on the shelf.
The shelf is for the special ones.
The light brown box on the upper shelf, far right is my rescue Chihuahua, Dexter. Had to put him down a year and a half ago. It was the worst day of my life.

I stay with them eye to eye as the injection goes in while my wife casts her eyes aside.
It's never easy, it's always hard, but take comfort in the knowledge that you've taken away their pain and put it upon your shoulders. Then carry on.
Thanks, Frank. No words.

I have the same one. Best $500.00 I ever spent.

Agree, I found a demo in 2014, $399. When I first got it going, Sounded slightly thin, A bit to much CD brittleness. I called OPPO, They started finding some RF issues in the first run of 103 and 105's. Said to line case with dampening, On the bottom of chassis. I put some dynamat under it, Been excellent ever since.

It's that stuff car audio guys use. Peel stick. Just cut around the feet. Also, If you can set some weight on top, That even helped in bass response. I know, Maybe not, But it's more solid.

Traffic - Low Spark CD

A couple weeks ago I listened to this CD and thought it sounded pretty dull and not very dynamic, I mentioned this to a buddy who was searching for the vinyl in his collection when I was over for a listening session a few weeks ago. He reported back he had found and listened to it and thought it was a little weak (production wise) as well. Makes me wonder.

Fast forward a little..........I am listening now and have listened a couple times in the last couple weeks and I have changed my opinion. Not lifeless and more dynamic then I was giving credit for.

I have switched up the gear a bit since the first time, so that may be the biggest variable..

Different music, different equipment. I believe the word is synergy..........can't be everything for all things
