I like the MX series from McIntosh. Generally as good as the separates it is derived from sonically.
Most persons don't care for the tuner/preamp combination after ss came out, preferring the integrated amp or receiver for whatever reason. Therefore, they don't demand the high prices of the separates.
The 113 coupled to a MC2505 makes for a really good 50 watt/ channel system (actually about 65 watts) and with the 2105 makes for a monster 100 watt system (closer to 150 watts). With judicious looking, the setups can be bought very reasonably.
I use a MX110, the tube version with either the MC250 (2505 w/o meters) or the 2105 and I guess having the 110/250 for well near 2 decades, I'm sold.
