I was actually on the hunt for a 20" monitor like that for a long time but I was thinking more like $20.

Maybe that one is using V-Caps and pure silver Wiring internally? The yellow staining and 25years of finger print dirt wasn't cleaned so that folks could appreciate the natural beige PC era Patina. :)

I have learned (again) that the word everything does not include everything:

Today I learned that negotiating can be done directly, and to the point, like with a hammer.

I listed a car on Craigslist. I got a text asking "what's your bottom dollar?"
Jeez. No dinner, no movie, just straight to bed, huh?

The wife convinced me not to respond with "what's your top dollar?" but she's a better person than I.

I hear 'what's the least you will take for it' regularly. I say 'over the phone, it's [x, x being my original asking price]. If you come here with cash, I may be a little flexible.'

I've seen it several times already: "Very loud 100 watt receiver..."
As opposite to what? Very quiet 240 watt amplifier???

I seem to get that all the time on the f'book. If you post something for a buck, they'll immediately hit you with the "what's the lowest you'll go" card. I just tell them the lowest I'll go is taking it to the Salvation Army and taking a much higher tax deduction than what you're offering.

In today's episode, I was all set to poke some snarky fun out of this ad, then low and behold, the post is right!

If there are actually two of them, they're dual regardless of brand! In this case they're dual Duals. I hope you don't have to do pistols at 20 paces with another buyer. That would be dueling over the dual Duals.

There would be no "peace" in my house if it were brought home. On the other hand, if someone were to call that speaker "garbage" it would be true.:D

They put the tweeter on the bottom? :wtf:

Actually that's probably a minor point in this case.

I'd imagine this was done because the air/garbage capacity would be larger at the top of the can providing more bass?

Really I have no idea why people do what they do.

The real problems with the woofer in the upper position and the tweeter in the lower include the higher notes are not at ear level and the garbage bag will get hung up on the woofer, ripping open the trash bag when thrown into the can.

Plus, what happens to the base response when the lid is left open? This ignores the Thiele Small parameters.

Obviously, the designer(s) did not entirely think this through.

Why do I suspect beer was involved?

Not only that, CKDC, but it looks like the designer used paper cones.
