I reported the spamming to CL last night. Since mid morning, no more have been popping up here. Maybe reporting it worked.

Here's one that seems to defeat the purpose of speakers, notably good sound.
One pair of beautiful vintage teak slim bookshelf speakers. Measure 18.5" tall, 11" wide and only 5" deep. These are fine furniture grade teak speakers, with silver grey smooth weave grills, white spatter painted backs. Danish style. I used these empty unmarked speakers and put 8" full range GRS (Pioneer style) drivers in them, along with high quality speaker wire connectors on the back. Not hi-fi by any means, but very beautiful and sleek 1960's style modern. If you want a showpiece pair of speakers, these are it!

Tape deck: everything is working fine, only the "play" function doesn't.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAA....... That's me literally laughing out loud!
You know serious cassette aficionados have separate tape decks dedicated to rewinding and fast-forwarding. Some even have decks dedicated to stopping and pausing.

That is kind of a play on the VHS tape rewinders that video store junkies used to own, to rewind tapes after watching. :D

There was never a market for DVD rewinders, sadly...

That's fine for VHS, but not DVD...

Every now and then, after watching a dvd with my wife, I would tell her to make sure and rewind the movie. Once she even reached for the remote. Then I got “that look.”

Yeah, the only complicated part is keeping the counters in sync from deck to deck, other than that a very efficient work flow.

True... But totally worth the hassle of explaining your wife why you stacked something else in your stereo rack.

Weird, I went to Ithaca CL yesterday just to see those speakers, searched for the keyword TEAK and found nothing. :dunno: Thanks for posting the link. Kinda nice if there were some good drivers in them.

Apparently missing knobs, levers, gears, in fact, any missing components from audio equipment is no big deal because I can easily 3D print myself replacement parts. :bs:

Hmmm, if your speakers can't compete with a soundbar, I'm not sure I would want them.

"Had them for years and finally switched over to a sound bar. One tower works perfectly. The other towers two bottom speakers only work when you pressed on. Picture makes them look gloss black but they actually are a deep reddish wood finish. Still sound great!"
