what is a 6211 tube????

AnNone know what a 6211 tube is?? I have done a google, an ebay, and the radio museum. I have found some for sale on ebay, but no info on them.
I got an amp today with oine tube in it and missing one.

The other tubes in the amp are a 5u4gb rectifier, three 7408's and one 6v6, two 12ax7 and then this 6211 and one tube missing. I assume that the missing tube is supposed to also be this tube.

With your stock of tubes you should download the TDSL program from the duncanamps site:

It gives the basic parameters and datasheet links for just about any tube you want.

BTW, it shows the 6211 as a medium mu dual triode.

Like a 12AU7 with a bit higher gain.

I think it's a militarized 12AU7 for the mostpart. You should be able to find some. I've got some around with nowhere to go. They're not that rare.

Bought a pile of em on ebay last night. Got them cheap too.
SO now to do some research and see what this amp is.

it seems 6211 is part of the 12AT7 family.

I think Zero is closer to correct. I have also used it as a 12at7. I am pretty sure it is another one of those "computer tubes".
