What is this part called...that drives the cassette tape from a CT F9191. Thanks
Dog or cam, lots of names apply
I guess I would've called it the Spindle Drive but then the official name for a Car roof is Turret while the boot lid is known as the Deck Lid in GM parts books.
I'm sure this part is known by many different names by all the different manufacturers.
If it is broken, you can just substitute a No. 2 pencil.
Thanks for the help fellas...off to search for a replacement.
My wife says it’s “a thing.”
Mine used to call them whatchmacallit's
It's a drive hub--think back to the R2R days and just think smaller.
Thanks for the replys fellas..I'm on the hunt for one.
Check schematics of other PIONEER cassette decks. Possibility that particular part is common to most of them.
I believe it's a doohickey, not to be confused for a whatsit . On a serious note I think your best bet would be to find a parts unit or maybe find someone who could 3D print you a replacement.
When you get 80+ everything is a "thing", one of my jobs around here is Mother's "thing" decoder. It is an acquired skill.
Separate names with a comma.
