What is your favorite "rock-n-roll" movie?

Totally guilty pleasure -- "Phantom of the Paradise." Hard to describe, but Paul Williams is an evil record company exec who goes up against a songwriter who gets his face deformed in a record press. It gets a bit more convoluted from there, but great music and a very entertaining movie.

This is rather obscure. Many folks don't know this was released on VHS (I have a copy):

I don't know if this was ever available on anything other than VHS (although there may have been a laserdisc) (And LP/CD of course)

Cheers,

Nice to see The Commitments getting recognition.
I enjoyed School of Rock and Wayne's World. High Fidelity is worth a watch.
I have a super Joe Strummer movie called The Future is Unwritten but my favourite rock and roll movie is:
Made of Stone

I actually liked Eddie & the Cruisers II ... Eddie Lives. Low budget movie but I liked the plot.

In this scene you can tell that the Sax player Hilton knows before anybody that this is Eddie Wilson ...
"man can't hide the way he plays, it's like fingerprints, he's born w/ it".

Eddie revives his "old self" ... but get's a flashback of Wendell Newton ... reminds him of a past he wants to forget ... then he walks away.
