Many years ago there was a similar thread - but it was limited to vinyl bootlegs. I started this thread because my favourite one is on CD. And it is not a Zappa/Mothers concert, although I have a bunch of Zappa bootlegs of course...

So this is mine:

Genesis

Recorded Live At The Academy Of Music, New York City, 4th May, 1974

2CD Set

Hi, Chris. I don't actually own any bootlegs, and therefore have no business posting an entry in this thread. However, I promised and I'm a man of my word.

I bet that Genesis would have been a pretty good show, though.

I was just given one but had to swear on my kids' lives I wouldn't share. It is something Keaggy of course.

Nice topic, something new!!
My input:
The Cure - Play For Today. Recorded in Arnhem, The Netherlands in 1980, Stokvishallen, one of the very first concerts I visited. The start for buying Cure fan till this day!!

I have a bunch of Dave Matthews Band boots from his early days before he hit it big. There are a lot of songs that ended up on releases but songs that didn't either. Also some band members that are no longer with the band. I really like the stuff with Peter Griesar on keyboards

this is an easy one, and a great topic by the way. Ratdog 8-9-95 Hampton Beach Casino NH. The day Jerry died Bobby had this show already scheduled. The emotion and tone of this show was like no other. Blackbird (McCartney) will bring you to tears.
I have a couple variations but the DSBD is the cleanest.

"Where's Bonzo? At the count of 3, everyone yell Where's Bonzo? 1-2-3 WHERE'S BONZO?!!!
Led Zeppelin Live in Japan early 70's

It was this...

But now that it's been officially released I'd say it's this one.

Recorded right before a big national tour and subsequent fame and fortune. Bruce plays his heart out, some of the songs haven't reached their final form and it's poignant to hear this and know that his life is never going to be the same after this show.

Merle Haggard with drums, piano and guitar singing 'If I Could Only fly' at a church in downtown Los Angeles in 1990.. Hi Fi VHS, audio from house sound board with video. Wonderful Merle Haggard performance.

A must have for Stevie Ray Vaughn fans is the Soul to Soul sessions. Nice live studio takes before the producer and editors got a hold of the tapes. Brilliant, raw and awe inspiring.

Our Aim is true, Elvis Costello, mimics My Aim, clear vinyl, out takes from early sessions with alternate stuff.. I had a neat Beatles Beeb,
slick cover, nice board recorded sound..

Grateful Dead - Historic Dead. Technically not a bootleg according to WackyPedia, and not available on CD. Not totally accurate, as I have the vinyl lp on Sunflower, and a CD labeled Blues Seminar Vol. II For Promotion Only Not For Sale. It has their early blues work from a live performance at the Avalon Ballroom in San Francisco. Great stuff!

The Cardigans - Fluff Free Pop Lovefools

Bought this on a hunch and a vague memory of seeing these guys live on an MTV beach show back in the 90's. Fell in love and they are one of my favorite bands.
