Here's my minimalist system. MA5200, MB50 Music Streamer, SONOS Connect (Wyred4Sound upgraded), all Wire World cables (speaker, interconnects, power), REL T9/I sub (with Arrow wireless system), and Bowers & Wilkins 805 D3 speakers. That's a ThermalRest camping mat in the corner. I'm embarrassed to show you my left and right wall treatments (hint: took them out of my teardrop camper).

The latest incarnation of my system. Recently replaced the Tannoy Canterbury GR with the Westminster Royal GR. More of a great thing! A ridiculously good mating with the McIntosh tube gear!!

No. But, you should start a new thread and tell us all about that experience, where it is, etc.

Well.. got my 70's gear hooked up and together in a system for the first time since 1989, and now connected to the XR6s with the MQ104 in the loop (next photo).

    70s_Mc_System.jpg

Then got the Thiels in the act. MQ104 is sitting on top or cabinet (upper right).

These dates describe my Mid, Jr, and High school years except for the speakers, college years.

    MR77, sold from 1970 to 1978 http://www.roger-russell.com/tuners.htm#mr77
    C26, sold from 1968 to 1978 http://www.roger-russell.com/preamps.htm#c26
    MC2505, sold from 1967 to 1977 http://www.roger-russell.com/amplif2.htm#mc2505
    XR6, sold from: 1977 to 1980 http://www.roger-russell.com/speakers2.htm#xr6

Even got the 8-Track Deck from HS days connected, with modified track-change lever switch.

    8-track_deck.jpg
The lower trim strip detached... it's around somewhere.

Should have seen the look om my buddies' face when I cranked up the volume. Priceless!

And then he asked "how many watts is that?" Lol

I've seen Greg's gear. Its as if these pieces came fresh out of the factory boxes (which he still has)! Very well maintained and cared for gear. Worthy of Mint quality for sure.

IMG_2165.JPG I am just starting my gear build. I have a pair if MC30s and a MC40 powering Klipsch La Scalas. I thought I would buy both, listen to the differences and decide which I would keep. I find I like both!
