Mounted a NOS Shure Ne95ED stylus on my R47XT cartridge and installed it on a spare headshell this morning and have been spending the evening spinning some of my familiar favorites. Concluding the evening with all three sides of Death Cab for Cutie - Kintsugi.
I really like the sound of this Ne95ED stylus. Of course, it cost more ($60) than my two turntables and three cartridges combined, but what good is a decent turntable and cartridge without a proper stylus?
My first ever 8-track tape was Sweet - Desolation Boulevard. I was just reminiscing about that this past weekend with my girlfriend. Man, need to get that one on vinyl.
This page is quite the walk down memory lane for me. My first ever 8-track tape was Sweet - Desolation Boulevard (see above) and my second was Aerosmith - Toys in the Attic. Quite the coincidence that they both show up here together. Unlike Desolation Boulevard, I do have Toys in the Attic on vinyl.
Anybody listening to Kiss - Dressed to Kill? That was my third 8-track tape.
