What Record Are You Hearing Now?

Thanks for the link, I've never heard that one before. It looks like it only made it on the single 7" B side of Venus in the USA. I just skimmed through an article about the Dutch group and it said that 'Hot Sand' was not on the their 1969 US reconfigured LP titled "At Home" which seems to imply that it was on the Dutch release. Strange, but interesting.

The only album I could find that "Hot Sand" is on, is the "Live In Japan" album. That version isn't the same because it's "Live". I checked all the Shocking Blue albums on Discogs and was surprised to only see it on that "Live" album.

I still have my Shocking Blue "Venus/Hot Sand" 45 that I got when I was a kid. Used to play it all the time. Like to watch that "Colossus" label spin around. :D

Just picked up the fairly disparate collection of:

Steely Dan - The Royal Scam
Paul Simon - One Trick Pony
The Psychedelic Furs - S/T (playing as I write)

from a couple of used record shops.

All vinyl is scratch/blemish free but very dusty and playing them has reminded me how desperately I need to invest in a liquid cleaning solution
