I know you were, but I’m a stickler for speaking properly. It’s fine, I forgive myself. THIS time.

Got a new Ikea Kallax in the living room, where the audio has to live, and ran into some resonance and bouncy floor issues with the Optonica, so I swapped it out with the AR-XA from the bedroom system. Also swapped out the OM30 on the XA for an M91 ED with a new EVG stylus. Doing some set-up listening right now.

How do you like the EVG stylus on the M91ED? I have an M91ED that's in need of a replacement stylus. I have the original Hi Track stylus, but it's badly worn.

So far it sounds quite good. It's hard to remember with much detail how the original stylus sounded as it was replaced a while back with the OM 30, but so far this EVG on the M91seems absolutely worth the price.
Very clean and crisp with seemingly not as much surface noise as the Ortofon had. Maybe I'll switch the 30 to the Optonica and put the 2M red that's on it out to pasture.
My wife Will just look at me and shake her head with a smile 'cus they all sound the same' to her.

Just picked this up at a local F.Y.E. that's going out of business for 1/2 price - $16. Actually a very good sounding pressing imo. Bob

    Chaz,

Is this the Rhino/Warner reissue? If so, I just got it myself...

That's the one I recently got for my birthday from my wife; mine was nice and flat, with a solid feel to it and a nearly flawless playing surface. The only thing I was able to pick at was horrible IGD on the end tracks on Henley's voice (on "The Last Resort" and "Wasted Time").

Easily beats my original Asylum LP copy...

It looks like the LP's we bought for 25 cents each at Caves Book and Record Store in Taipei, Taiwan during my Navy tour their in 1971. The language there is Chinese. Red, green, yellow opaque and if you were lucky they sounded marginally OK on the first play. Taiwan didn't honor any copyrights at that time and pressers would just churn them out. The Navy wouldn't allow you to ship them back to the world at the end of your tour, but obviously many got through.

Caves Store is still in business: https://www.librarything.com/venue/12624/Caves-Books-[敦煌書店-]
