Is it worth $100 along with the EQ?

I think it's an SA-300, I bought one this week for 7.50. Masonite bottom - yes, but not too bad sounding for under ten bucks. Keep looking, the thrifts are overstocked this time of year - Monday mornings are best.

The bottom for Technics that model run is the SA-80. The SA-200 is second.

This is an SA-200.

The SA-80 can be had for $9 to $20, the SA-200 for $20-$30, average.

A nice piece of kit, but for that $100 you could easily get an SA-400 (a few models up), to an SA-700, maybe an SA-800 if you were extremely fortunate. The EQ is worth $20 to $30, tops, most likely.

The SA-80 is 15wpc.

The SA-200 is 25 wpc.

The SA-300 is 35 wpc.

The SA-400 is 45 wpc.

The SA-500 is 55 wpc.

The SA-600 is 70 wpc.

The SA-700 is 100 wpc.

The SA-800 is 125 wpc.

The SA-1000 is 330 wpc.

I thought I should pipe in and say I picked off the SA-5770 receiver, which is a brute at somewhere around 165watts per side, sounds terrific in all modes and functions, and has perhaps is the best FM signal puller I've seen yet in a receiver, for less than $200... :thmbsp:

I also say hold off till you find the one that really deserves your hard-earned dough!...because they are out there to be found...!
