This is my desktop set up I hook to the laptop - one of four rigs about the house - this is the "little guy".
Pioneer SA-6800, TX-6500 ll, CT- F600, CS99's, CS-05's and an ADC Sound Shaper Two - IC equalizer - red LED sliders and channel meters.
14 AWG speaker wire and Evolution interconnects. Evolution 3.5mm/RCA connects laptop to aux.

Those round speakers,CS-05 are a thing of beauty. I see them in the 1972 catalog. Also like the grills. Would go great with my newly acquired QX-9900, the same era.

SX-D5000 this weekend as my first ever Pioneer. A bit dinged up on faceplate with some marking rubbed off. l rarely listen to FM anymore so I took a chance on this one for $150. Hooked up to Klipsch Forte and it produces wonderful level of detail with electric jazz guitar and vocals.
The pictured Kenwood KR 7050 is a bit more muscular in bass but the Pioneer has wonderful detail!!! Going to take my time while making small changes. I bought this Pioneer out of sound curiosity and not primarily for looks. As long as the innards are in good shape I'm happy

Right now it's a little Pioneer SX-434. A nice little performer. Can't complain for the $10 I paid for it. lol :p

I thought my basement rig looked and sounded especially good today and I don't think I've posted it here - apologies if I have, but it's sure been a while. Pioneer pieces are the SX-3900 receiver (fully recapped including the 4 main filter caps), a custom walnut veneered PL-570, a CT-F900 cassette deck, a RT-707 reel to reel, a DT-500 timer, and an SR-303 reverb amp just for looks.
