whats your favorite Mac combo

I like my C-100 with the MC-275 going to the horns and the MC-2205 running the woofers. Both amps have had a total rebuild and sound great to me.

Mc 30 mono blocks with a mx110

+1 Until I find my next favorite...which is always possible. :D

I really enjoy my C2200 and MC275 V
I do wish I had two MC275's in mono, but that's not in the cards at the moment.

Here's another nice MX-110 setup. These are now in the hands of another AKer but it was an excellent performer.

Cheers,

David

MC 2301's & C500T have been an awesome combination.
MC 275V & C2300 are great as well, and will replace the MAC4300V at our lake home.

At this point, C-33, 2155, and MR78.

I had a 2205 for a minute but didn't notice enough of a difference to justify making a permanent swap. I tried a Dynaco Stereo 70 in the mix as well but it didn't impress me much. Now a 275...

MC-60 and Sony CDP-XA7ES. I used to have a C2300 that I liked very much but decided the $4k could be better used to pay bills.

I'll bet the 2205 just clobbers those woofers. It's the description used to describe the 2205 driving the 12" Thiel woofers through their bass EQ down to 20 Hz, though I think THD goes up due to cone motion. They sound very good to me, and can rumble the walls and windows! Sometimes at night during a Blue-ray DVD, we're afraid the neighbors will be disturbed.. or even complain.

more pics please

Ok, you asked for it. The Mickey Mouse TT isn't in the picture as it was in the shop for repair. :) So I substituted a couple of Mitsubishi's. A LT5-V on the wall mount and a LT-30 on the rack.

The gear is the LT-30 on the top left and top right is a APC-15H voltage regulator. I'm the last on the line and voltage swings from 111-127 so I bought the APC and it holds it right at 116-118.
Next shelf is a MR-77 on the left and MI-3 on the right.
The next shelf is the C-100 preamp on the left and C-100 controller on the right.
On the left is my first Mac amp a MC-2505 and on the right is a MCD-205.
Bottom is a MC-275 on the left and the MC-2205 on the right. The speakers are actively crossed Altec Valencias 846B's.

This one sounds pretty good: MC225, C11, and MR67, all with NOS tubes.

I kinda like the newer knobs on your 2505. I think I might do that too! (I'd save the originals of course.)
