What's your latest audio purchase?

Rated at 200 wpc in to 8 ohms and 330 wpc in to 4 ohs, 2 ohms stable.

Measured by Stereo Review (1989) as 250 wpc at 8 ohms, 400 wpc at 4 ohms, 650 wpc at 2 ohms before clipping.

And yes, it's a beast. Weighs 60 lbs.

Just picked up a Nordmende Tannhäuser 8004, their top of the line tube radio circa 1964... Works beautifully... Styling is very 'Nordic' - in the style of Dieter Rams, of Braun fame...

Thx....I have been told this model isn't as common as it's bigger brothers.....V5, 6 and 7

...and at 55 watts per not as sought after either

But for my needs the power is more then adequate and I love the build quality and sound.

I answered a craigslist add for Pioneer CS-700g's from the original owner.Beautiful condition. Listening to them now and they sound pretty amazing.Like I needed another set of speakers. Sometimes you can't resist .It was a 20 mile drive on Friday to pick them up so I hit a few sales on the way back. A Korean church was having a big sale so I stopped and a set of JBL CF80's jumped into my arms.5 bucks how can you say no. They are 2 way ported bookshelf speakers and they sound surprisingly good lots of bass .

I went to pickup a pair of Klipsch KG1.5 speakers, and ended up getting a pair of JBL J2060, too. The seller has a series speaker problem. But at the rate I am going, I will soon catch up.

The build quality of the KG 1.5 is much better than the JBL. They are close together in SQ. I need more listening before I pick a winner, but I am leaning toward the Klipsch.

Yeah, those JBLs are definitely built to a price point. That said, they aren't bad for what they are. I love the Titanium dome in them, but they are not in the same league as the Klipsch.
