Where to use cork panels?

My listening room is 10x14, carpeted with plaster walls. I have DQ-10s along the long wall with a Dahlquist sub between; not ideal, but the four doorways into the room limit where they can go.

The room is very live; I'll sometimes hear a reflected signal almost as strong as the main.

Yesterday i picked up two of these 2'x4' cork panels at a garage sale, and thought I'd see what they remove.

Should I try one panels behind each speaker, or one on front wall and one behind me? First reflection points on the side aren't available, due to glass doors. Should they be mounted flush, or with a standoff; small or large standoff?

Ideas?

Cork isn't as dense as sheetrock or plywood, but it's still pretty dense. Fine for shock absorption, but not so great for acoustic treatment. I'd suggest either buying honest-to-God acoustic panels or making them yourself.
