Which Speakers are You Using for Your Sansui Amps

I am using a set of Dynaco A25X’s. The tone depth and bass punch is fantastic. I am thrilled with this combination. I was using a set of Sansui AS 200s before, too bright! I was losing faith in the 661/771/881 series. Believe it or not, this new pairing may have pushed the 771 ahead of my Sansui Six.

Wow, some of these systems are stunning! My Sansui stuff currently drives a pair of upgraded Klipsch Quartets. Im quite pleased with them, but wouldnt mind moving up to something like Cornscallas eventually. I do subscribe to the no replacement for displacement mindset.

I have an AU7900, i swap around Wharfedale E70, B&W DM3000 and DM2000.

Hello Sebastian, hope you are doing good. I am about to get my hands on a sansui BA-F1 amp and a pair of DM3000 in pretty good shape. What was your experience back then when you were driving them with the AU7900. Thanks

anyone else has had the pleasure of this setup?

I have been using a pair of Tannoy F1 Custom bookshelf speakers with my Sansui AU-222. They work fantastically well with the Sansui. However my Sansui is currently on the bench being fixed due to a popping sound it developed recently and I’ve got an old, but not as old as the Sansui, NAD 3020i driving them for the moment. The NAD just doesn’t have 'that sound'. The sheer detail the Sansui can pull out of my CD and record deck is simply breathtaking. The latter parts are a Sony CDP-XB930 (a lovely CD player) and the deck is a Lenco GL-75. I’m thinking about building a pair of Frugal Horn Mk3's next.

Currently running a new set of Triangle BR03s to my AU-717 (very happy with these speakers), and a reconditioned pair of SP-1000s to an AU-517. Nice punch from an oft-overlooked speaker.

Driving a pair of Ascend Acoustic Sierra 2's with my AU-919 in the office system, and a pair of Norman Model 8'a with a 5000a in the garage system.

Pair of ML Ethos with the AU-α907XR, and refurb'd Forte 1's with the AU-111. Also have a pair of Tannoy Revolution DC6's which have played nicely with a number of Sansui amps.

My NewForm Research V645s are being driven by my Ba / Ca - 3000 . Completely restored by Leestereo and sounding amazing . Just waiting on some funds to restore my Sota Sapphire, then my system is complete . Really :)

To contribute to this great thread going on for 16 years?! ( first post 2004): AU 9500 into 2000x with AR 17 ( Teledyne ) at the end. Just 9500 or 2000x alone is equally good just different. 9500 is just amazing with dynamics, headroom, bass , it is really one impressive musical beast, still 2000x has the sweetest inexplicably addictive sound signature. Now just need something bigger ( Ar 10, 11, 12...) or all of them. AR+Sui pure porn. IMG_20200909_102302.jpg
