When I subscribed to Stereophile, I used a ridiculous name just so I could track who they sell their subscriber list to.
No real reason other than curiosity.
It's been a couple of years now & so far it looks like just a cigar company. How early to mid-90's...

I do this often. When I subscribe to a particular magazine, I use a different middle initial in my name just to see where all the junk mail advertising originates from.
