Who was the first guitarist to do the "Chicka chicka wa wa" sound?

Listening to some Doors and the song Peace Frog/ Blue Sunday has a very distinct guitar sound that was used often but who started that sound. Was this the first song to use it?

I'm pretty certain it got its start from an episode of Mannix. They oft used the triangle during suspense scenes too.

My best guess would be: some guy in a bar band somewhere did it accidentally and someone else in his band asked him to do it some more. Then some semi-famous dude heard it and had to get it down. From there it spread like a virus. That's how all these things get started. Who first recorded it on an album of note? It might be extremely hard to pin down.

I thought it was the Funk Brothers with Motown that really got into that first.....Temtations........ Psychadelic Shack, I can't get next to you.....etc.....

I thought it went back to Lonnie Mack ... but they worked it so hard in the SHAFT theme song that introduced us all to it.
(How hard did they work it baby?, oh oh baby, THAT hard ... SHAFT!)
