Whole house audio on the cheap!

I wouldn't call whole house audio cheap no matter how one implement it. 4 rooms equals $40 x 4 plus the system in each room. Not quite ready to sell my soul to the fruit or Google just yet.

I find living in a one room house to be very cost effective regarding whole house audio.

As I split the feed of my Apple TV, HDMI to the display and the digital audio to the HT processor, I can use it as a Zone, too for audio with the display turned off, in addition to the other Airport Express. I did learn one thing, using the optical out put with a Great DAC will give you much superior sound quality over the analog output of the Airport Express.
