Nice looking Sansui.
This afternoon I'm listening to Al Carter-Bey spin some excellent jazz on 90.9 WDCB Chicago.
Sony STR-6800 > ProAc Super Tablette
Thank you for the compliment. I have been very happy with the Sansui especially with the work PunkerX did on it.
Lately I've been listing to a lot of 93.3 KDKB on my JVC T-40PR. I like KCDX 103.1, but even with an outdoor antenna the reception is mediocre at best. I notice compared to some other tuners, switching to mono on a weak signal doesn't buy you that much noise reduction. I could always bump the equalizer a few notices to suppress the high-pitched buzz.
Pioneer TX-9500 II. Coast to Coast AM on KSMX 99.5 FM, Santa Maria CA. Great tuner, First owner was James Bongiorno
Newark New Jersey's WBGO Jazz 88.3 FM... Sansui TU-717
"The Blues Review" broadcasting right now, via that big monkey perch in midtown, The Empire State Building. I got me some bell wire plugged into the FM antenna output on my Sansui TU-717, with the other end connected to a radiator down the hall. "Howlin' Wolf" approves of this method!!
Saturday morning and my day starts with 'Portraits In Blue' OTA on WBGO 88.3 FM.
John Lee Hooker on the Modern label 1949/50.
Sounding correct in mono. The Scott Type 310B/Scott 99C kill'in it!
Some classical music this morning on 98.7 WMFT Chicago, on the recently acquired Pioneer TX-9100. I just got it back from my tech yesterday, who cleaned and aligned it.
Sunday night, enjoying Eddie Trunk Rocks on 98.9 The Rock, Kansas City, on a recently acquired Kenwood KT-8300.
A quiet night listening to "Dinner Jazz with Surianah Mahmud" on Abu Dhabi Classic 91.6. She plays a nice mix of jazz, easy listening pop, and some Arab artists. One piece I just heard uses an oud.
The tuner is a Sony ST-S3000ES fed from a dipole near my window on the 32nd floor.
106.7 wizn, the wizard Burlington Vt, between album changes
Listening to Orbert Davis (who is also an excellent trumpeter and composer) spin jazz on 90.9 WDCB Chicago, on the Pioneer TX-9100. If I had to choose between this one and my TX-9800 it would not be easy. Fortunately I don't have to.
It's the sunniest, warmest day we've had in many months and here I am sitting inside listening to an absolutely fantastic Saturday Afternoon at the Opera broadcast of Verdi's Aida live from the Metropolitan Opera.
Clapton- Lay Down Sally. 96.3 Columbus OH....AU/TU 919
KBAQ Phoenix, Rotel RHT-10 and Nakamichi 430. The Nakamichi sounds good but the Rotel handles the IBOC noise better.
Im listening to the duke 93.5 for some great country this morning after mids so its night to me. Using the emotive pt-100 and a outdoor tv antenna. I don't listen to country real often but they play lots of 80s and 90s and I'm in the mood today. The music reminds me of a bar I lived at back in that time frame.
Its online check it out.
I'm listening HR1 at 94,4 here in Germany. Good music paired with latest results in soccer Bundelsliga is nice. I'm using my SONY ST-5130:
Lot's of Ella today and tonight. KNKX 88.5 formerly KPLU
Scott 312D and Scott 312C for a Full House of Sound!
I don't listen to radio much but am enjoying our local station 104.7 Peak FM on my creek cas3040
Beautiful tuner you have there. I have not had a Sony separate tuner, but every vintage Sony receiver I've had has had an excellent tuner.
