Window Mini-Blinds... Good Diffusion?

When treating a space, obviously you can dampen Windows with Curtains, but as an alternative, can Mini-Blinds be used for Diffusion?

If you have a microphone it would be an interesting experiment. move them a 1/2" at a time and see when the room measurements say.

I'd be interested in a response curve graph of various angles of Venetian blinds, also.

Have you considered something a bit more dense and less reflective, like a roman shade?

Most mini blinds I've seen have smooth, reflective surfaces.

I have 2 inch fake wood blinds in my basement system area . I can’t tell you for sure if it helps or not but that room is the best sounding room in the house .

Plastic, not metal ...

I use the ½" blinds and DO get a bit of a buzz out of them every now and then, but that's mostly on deep bass and pushing 100db's ... They certainly do kill reflections as compared to glass more times than not. Angle doesn't seem to matter all that much as the blinds break up the waves a bit no matter how they're set as long as they're down.
