Wire question for small amp

Hey all,

I'm just about finished with a DIY phono stage (Tavish Design Vintage). The directions call for two short stretches of 22 gauge wire - one pair of ~5" lengths connecting the power supply to the off/on switch, a single 3" strand used to ground to the chassis. Is it ok to substitute 24 gauge wire for those bits?

Hard to say without knowing the current, but I speculate it would be OK because a phono stage generally isn't a (relatively speaking) high current device.

Not matter what wire gauge will be used for Chasis Ground. This wire only connect ground with chasis and create ground cage around preamplifier electronics to reduce any noise in and out preamp or ground loop. This wire does not passing any sound signal.
