Nope. Too corporate. My wife went in '69. She still has the unused tickets. It was different then. Now, just hype and everyone wearing corporate logos, taking selfies along with a very expensive ticket. Not my cup of tea.

I didn't go to the first one. So it would be something totally new. Things change in 50 years.

I also didn't go to the 1967 Summer of the Love concert, but I did go to the 40 Anniversary. It was a freakin' blast! The best concert to date and it was free! But that's San Francisco. Unfortunately the 50th never happened.

Depending on who you're talking to, anywhere from a couple hundred thousand to several million attended.

    I WAS THERE !!
Didn't make Woodstock, but I did get to California Jam at Ontario Motor Speedway. Anniversary for that should be coming up as well ... that was something like 350k attendance ... with two or three portajohns to share ...

Like has been said, you can never go back. For this one, you will not doubt be patted down at the entrance to make sure you aren't bringing in anything to eat or drink. That way they can fleece you with the concession stands. I haven't been to a show anywhere other than clubs for several years. As much as I enjoy going to shows, dealing with the greedy promoters has destroyed my desire.

@Mystic beat me to the punch re: Altamont. Keith is still around, as is the rest of his band. Time for a 50th.

I’m only in my mid 30s and I can tell I’m not as “spry” as I was in my 20s. Lol I don’t feel old by any means, I just know I’m not in my 20s anymore. Lol

I recently went to a Blues Fest.

Alice Cooper, Michael McDonald, Patrick Simmons, his kid, Dave Mason called in sick, Willie K and a bunch of great local talent. The olds rockers could still jam, albeit hard to recognize. It was freakin' awesome! What kinda startled me was when I turned around, I had killer seats up front, was there was a lot of old and gray in the crowd. But everyone was having a blast. The collective vibe was great!

If you're worried about shit, you're not going to have fun.
