An interesting way to combat super bacteria.

    Yes.

Granted I have a fairly low opinion of myself.

I wonder what was in the injections I ever got against whatever disease.

Oh well the bacteriophague therapy is not that expensive (although a few thousand), and it seems have helped a lot of people as a last resort.
It seems Georgia is most advanced and experienced for this (not USA but the country Georgia) and this way of treatment quite normal over there.

If antibiotics do not work anymore, no other way to go, maybe, or at least have a partial alternative sometimes.
I wonder if the big pharma companies are helping, or if they are just in the way. Time will tell.

"Would you willingly inject yourself with a DEADLY virus?"
If it is deadly, in what way will it save your life?
Sort of on a related topic: Our Doctor rang up last week to arrange my wife to have a vacination against Influenza. They give it to over 65 yrs free. (I am 70 but he doesn't ask me)
Well she went in and he gave her that , also said she can have one for Shingles also. So she said ok.
Could not use her arm or lift it for a few days. Still all bruised and sore.

My cousin had tuberculosis injections to take care of bladder cancer. It worked. The cancer did come back a few years later but it was again caught extremely early and a second round took care of it. No cancer and no TB.

Personally, I think it's alien in its origin.

I've watched enough "X Files" to know that..."The truth is out there!":smoke:

I'll wait until it's legal for recreational use.

Some people do it by eating cheese,
it's all about tolerance and resistance.

If the medicos know what they are doing,
I would take the risk to save my life.

I currently suffer from the side effects of one of these new medical cure-alls.

Luckily, I also have large supply of pain pills left over from the loss of of our beloved pet. In the event of a fatal diagnosis, a bottle of whiskey and the meds should do just fine.

I dunno. I saw a documentary last week where a lady got a fecal transplant and she had to EAT the pills... seems like the perfect (and perhaps ONLY time) suppositories might be the preferred administration!

I would be scared to burp!

The "deadly virus" under consideration is a bacteriophage... or, a virus that parasitizes bacteria. It's ONLY deadly to the bacterial species it invades... not in any way to humans. The sensationalistic way in which this news is presented is very ambiguous and needs serious correction.

    UPDATE:
Just another reason I feel this way.
My stepdaughter suffered from brain cancer, they told her they could keep her alive for 5 more years if not cure her with radiation treatments, etc. She suffered for around 6 months
till last week when the cancer went down into her face and took her off the radiation, she died in her sleep last night, finally at peace.
The hospital and doctors cost her and the family pain, suffering, and endless dollars only for her to die in less then a year.
So don't piss down my back and tell me it's raining.
