WTB kenwood KX 1030 cassette deck

I want to buy a Kenwood KX 1030 cassette deck . There are a couple on E-Bay
And they all need belts . My question concerns shipping a cassette deck . I have had bad luck shipping cassette decks in the past they get here and they won't read the tape . Do all packages go through X-Ray machines could this damage the heads ?

Nothing will be damaged by x-ray or other control systems. Damage is only caused by wrong packing and rough transport.
Its a nice deck - i have also three (incl. a KX-1003) waiting for new belts...
