X-101-C adjustments

So I have acquired a X-101-C project...

reading through the manual, it appears that I am supposed to have a distortion meter to make some of the adjustments. I have one, but it isn't restored and is not currently working.

Is there any way that i can adjust this with only a multimeter, signal generator, and oscilloscope? Or am I just out of luck?

If it's the Phase Inverter adjustment, then you can likely follow the instructions given in the sticky on that subject.
