Yamaha CR-450 help

Check it like 4 individual diodes 1.AC1---- pos , 2. pos ---- AC2 , 3. AC1---- neg, 4. neg ---- AC2..
of course measure the forward and reverse of each diode.
Due to being connected directly to the power transformer you need to check it out of circuit.
The fact that it was working before your friend got a hold of it. The caps had to be installed correctly.

I just ran a resistance check on both filter capacitors. They both continued steadily rising on the DMM. No OL errors or high readings in the Mega-ohms.
No shorts or shunts..Looks good.

Yes. I did opposite readings on everything but the Positive side is not looking good. Should I go ahead and replace this part? It is part #5B2 6C. I read online you cannot find this one any more but 5b4 works just as well.

Post a photo of the bridged rectifier 5B-2 is a 5amp/200v rectifier

No luck finding one on Mouser. Radioshack used to carry a 400V option but all of them are now closed locally.

Center of one pin to the center of the next pin. 5 mm perhaps.

The middle two pins are on top and the bottom pos/neg pins are far apart on the bottom. The parts on mouser should work if I bend the pins to fit.

There is a pic. I’ll try to find a part locally tomorrow first.

Thanks for your help! I’ll update after I install the new part.
