Yamaha CT-810 tuning dial lamp

Has anyone ever replaced one of these?
I recently sold a CT-810 in beautiful condition and when the buyer received it the tuning dial lamp didn't work. I don't know if the severe cold and jarring by UPS spelled its demise -- maybe it was just old.
I offered to send $10 for a new lamp (only sold it for $90), but the buyer wants to ship it back for a refund. He's already raved about it's performance, so I'm a little surprised he wants to return it. He said he looked at it and it's not replaceable; that it's sealed on an umbilical wire.
I agreed to take it back, $90 is a non-issue. But I have to believe this lamp can be replaced...

It's possible the dial pointer lamp is still good and in "series" with a bad lamp in another place on the dial, I think there's 4 lamps in that model. :scratch2:
