Will it push a set of Infinity RSIIs ? Please give opinions or better yet facts.....I'm about to pull the trigger on a friends and he needs an answer asap. I want to hear these speakers pushed right so bad.

My short answer would be yes, maybe, kinda...
It depends upon your room size and how loud you listen. Also, when I purchase gear, price is a factor.....I wish I could be of more definite help. I have no direct experience with that amp, but Yamaha amps are used by at least a handful of forum members.
Can you audition the gear on the speakers in the proposed room first? I think that would help you decide.
Good Luck!

Easily.
Infinity recommends 35 - 250 watts, at 170 per channel the MX-830 will have headroom and you'll love the remote control on the preamplifier.

Actually it's 230 per channel into 4-ohms and yes, plenty of headroom :thmbsp:
