Yamaha v583 atmos still not working

Well after 2 weeks,5 emails resetting everything 3 times a new atmos blueray player it still says truhd on
The readout with a atmos disc in.all 7 channels are working.yamaha says I am doing something wrong
The unit is ok.well after a firmware update a new atmos DVD player new hdmi cable still says truhd when
Playing atmos disc! Well anyway will decide tomorrow to take it back and get a Sony or onkyo .like I told
Them it says Dolby atmos on a sticker on the front of the reciever and yamaha website shows a v583
Reading atmos on the display.

Do you have the HDMI output of your bluray player set to Bitstream?

You say all 7 channels are working.

However are at least 2 of your channels either ceiling speakers or Atmos-enabled speakers?

For Atmos to function, you need at least two such speakers.

With a traditional 7 channel surround system, Atmos discs will play in Dolby TrueHD.
