Rhiannon Giddens (formally of the Carolina Chocolate Drops) at the Weinberg Center in Frederick, MD. Great show - excellent material, great musicianship, and a stunning voice in a very nice venue.
A couple of my last shows was to see Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers in Tampa and Red Rocks!

The show was upstairs in the ballroom. We run an 80's night in Lolas room on the 2nd floor and they did 52+ minutes of Tom Petty as a tribute. RIP TP.
You either work for them or you're getting comped!
I work for McMenamins in three different venues. The guest list are the comps. I've been working concerts, events, and professional sports for the last 12 years. I don't have a day job.
Sounds as if you are living the dream. I stayed in the hotel last month, but didn't get to catch any music. You aren't the bartender who kept calling me "pardner," are you?
9/23 we went and saw Roger Waters in Albany, NY.
Tickets said show starts promptly at 8pm. At 8pm a huge screen shows a woman with her back to the crowd looking out over the ocean. Seagulls squawking, ocean sounds, etc...kind of cool, except it went on for 25+ minutes. Finally the show starts. Sound is pretty good and the first set is a winner. They take a short break and then the politics and Trump bashing takes over the show. Flying pig with political statements on it, big drop down screen, with more political stuff. For me it ruined the show. Don't care about his politics, just wanted to hear some Pink Floyd tunes.
No I am not a bartender. The hotel is on the next block from the ballroom.

It was DJ/EDM trance night. Lots of puke for those that can't handle their ecstasy. Fun eh?
Robert Randolph and The Family Band
30+ years ago Billy Joel.
Pat Travers Band
Colonial Beach Bike Fest, VA.
Oct. 7 Roy Buchanan Tribute
Bethesda Blues and Jazz
A bunch of former band members and guitarists that were influenced by him taking turns on the stage.
Made me smile, thank you! And welcome to AK.
Is there a thread/posting for your first concert? I know it's easier to remember old stuff when you get old, but I'm not sure if it was Paul Revere & The Raiders or The Guess Who. I am that sure that both were in Iowa.
Tool in Tulsa in February
Jack Johnson at the Hollywood Bowl in July
Tool was good but Jack Johnson was just amazing!!! The sound was perfect, not too loud and not too quiet. One of the few concerts that I did not have to wear earplugs. It's in the top five of concerts I've ever been too.

Tropical F__k Storm
King Gizzard & Lizard Wizard
King Gizzard is awesome. 70's prog rock at it's best. Reminded me a lot of Hawkwind.
