I lovethe pics of your reel machine buddy!!

I would love taking her spools off and cleaning them both well for ya :)

^ What's your cleaning technique? I've used windex, RCM fluid, sprayed with Iso, they always seem streaky.

Hey - this is a pretty good album. At least as good as "My One And Only Thrill".

Public Enemy ~ Apocalypse 91... the Empire Strikes Black. A new double-LP reissue on beautiful clear green vinyl with a gatefold (I love gatefolds!).

Dr. Dre ~ The Chronic. New reissue, double LP, no gatefold, marijuana leaf art on the LP labels.

Nas ~ Illmatic. New reissue, single LP. Fairly straightforward looking reissue but on nice heavy vinyl.

Signed copy of the original mono mix of Think Pink by TWINK. Rediscovered and significantly different Decca Nova series. The mono mix was originally intended for release in 1969, but hasn't been released on vinyl until now. Limited to 350 copies with a few signed copies.

It's been an embarrassment-of-riches record collecting week. It doesn't happen often, so I'm reveling in it. From this weekend (all new on LP) --

In addition to the LCD S. LP shown above, I picked up:

The Roots ~ Things Fall Apart
Madvillain ~ Madvillainy
Nas ~ Illmatic
Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers)
Public Enemy ~ Apocalypse 91
and Dr. Dre ~ The Chronic

Bonus: I introduced my wife to In Rainbows and she loved it (she's mainly a Bends fan). And through repeated playings in our household, she is a new convert to DAMN. She was even looking up Kendrick Lamar videos to play on her laptop tonight. Damn!
